This presentation discusses the Kernel-Based Virtual Machine (KVM) which is part of the Linux kernel since version 2.6.20 and is applied for virtualization techniques. An overview of virtualization in general and important tools necessary to attach and administer a guest is given.
Furthermore, themes as the migration of virtual machines and high-availabilities are mentioned. Graphical administration tools as for example virt-manager are presented.
