How can governments collaborate digitally without forcing every organization onto the same platform?
Kenneth Edwall and Cecilia Spiik
Sweden's eSam initiative(eSamverkansprogrammet) has explored Matrix as a foundation for interoperable communication across public-sector organizations. Starting with a live federation pilot between two national agencies, the work has evolved into a broader effort involving governance, security, legal frameworks, and long-term sustainability.
This session discusses how Matrix can support digital sovereignty, interoperability, and vendor independence while enabling practical collaboration across organizational boundaries.
