Jupyter Notebooks sind aus der wissenschaftlichen Datenauswertung nicht mehr wegzudenken. Die webbasierte, interaktive Umgebung zur Erstellung von Notebook-Dokumenten wird häufig auch für geografische Datenanalysen verwendet.
Eine neue Applikation im Jupyter-Ökosystem ist JupyterGIS, welche kollaborative Bearbeitung von GIS-Daten in Echtzeit unterstützt und das Python-API von QGIS zur Kartendarstellung nutzt.
