How can modern technology help with removing a large facial tumour and transplant the patient's leg bone to their face to replace their missing jaw?

Come to this talk and find out!

I am an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and we are the interface between medicine and dentistry, we have to be qualified as both a doctor and a dentist and operate on the face, jaws and neck. We commonly deal with facial trauma, deformity, removing head and neck cancer and reconstruction of the space left behind (taking tissue from elsewhere on the body to do so).

I'll show you what I get to do for a living and why you might need to see myself or a colleague. Then we'll explore how modern medical imaging, 3D scanners, computer aided design and 3D printing is changing the face of modern surgery.
