A talk about police violence and militarization of police on example of France
With the liberalization of economy in the 1970s and the defeat of socialist ideologies in the next decade, immediately followed by armed attacks by religious and nationalist groups right across Europe, the northern states rapidly turned inward and militarized. In forty years, the capitalist system has moved from the welfare state to the police state, paving the way for a new form of post-modern fascism. The "Desarmons-les!" collective proposes a systemic analysis, using the example of France and its police force.
Mit der Liberalisierung der Wirtschaft in den 1970er Jahren und der Niederlage der sozialistischen Ideologien im darauffolgenden Jahrzehnt, auf die unmittelbar bewaffnete Angriffe religiöser und nationalistischer Gruppen bis nach Europa folgten, haben sich die Staaten des Nordens schnell auf sich selbst zurückgezogen und militarisiert. Innerhalb von vierzig Jahren hat sich das kapitalistische System vom Wohlfahrtsstaat zum Polizeistaat gewandelt und damit den Weg für eine neue Form des postmodernen Faschismus geebnet. Das Kollektiv "Desarmons-les!" bietet eine systemische Analyse am Beispiel Frankreichs und seiner Polizei.
