While more and more hackerspaces have been founded in the recent years, there are many different topics that are being discussed at the same time:
AI, 3D printing, Arduino, social and political questions, and lots more.
Where are the hacks though? Things are happening, and with this talk, we want to talk about them and call for exchange.
At Chaospott in Essen, we have developed rich tools to interact with and inspect hardware, enabling people to bring their gadgets to new life and run their own code, be it on TV boxes, network cameras, or appliances of various kinds.
In other words, should a cloud service go down or unmaintained software get compromised, we revive what would otherwise be bricks.
