Overcoming Agile
Sometimes frowned upon, yet often found in practice, with lots of variation from one company to another, the idea of _Agile_ has already gone beyond just software development. With this talk, I want to provide a positive perspective on what it feels like to be a software engineer in the 2020ies, looking at both my own experience and public reports from a chosen set of prominent examples.
Starting from the very simple [original _Agile Manifesto_](https://agilemanifesto.org/), we discuss trends that developed in project management over the years, and how Agile spread around. I will add my own view on the ideas, based on professional experience I have gained across multiple companies I worked for. With this talk, I want to give potential new software engineers some insight into what the industry is really like, and share with you what makes me happy about the profession.
